Engaging community through inclusive practice in diverse art-making since 2022
June 1, 2024 Stage & Screen at the Jones Theatre
[IN]terlaced: International Screendance Festival is northwest Idaho's first film festival integrating the best of screendance from around the world. Our mission is to screen films that engage with innovative cinematic and dance conceptualization produced by collaborators from around the world. In 2024, we are seeking short films that integrate dance and cinema in unique and playful ways.
Diversity and inclusivity are valued in all aspects--genre, form, line, representation, identity, and figure and welcome films that celebrate and explore a variety of styles of movement, themes, and approaches to creative composition. The focus of this year's program will be short dance films (less than 15 minutes). All films selected for screening will be notified of their status by December 31, 2023. If selected, your film will screen at an in-person event on February 28, 2024 and/or at an in-person event on June 1, 2024. Select films may be screened at both at the discretion of the curator.
